Refrigerator makeovers are all the rage. You can see my attempt at a Pinterst worthy refrigerator below but let me tell you...it only lasted a minute. I live in the world that involves kids, juice boxes, snacks-a-plenty, leftovers and lots of wine. My refrigerator is organized and an organized refrigerator to me means CLEAN. No scary Tupperware in the back that I'm afraid to open, no sticky shelves and no rotting produce.
The product that is currently helping me out in the "no rotting produce" category is the GreenSaver from OXO*. I am a big fan of washing all my produce before I put it away in the refrigerator but this can increase the rate of spoilage. The Greensaver is designed to maintain the correct amount of moisture (lettuce doesn't wilt and grapes don't get mushy) and has carbon filter to remove the ethylene gas produced by fruits and veggies that leads to spoiling. So no more Lousy, Rotten, Stinkin' Grapes (know the book??).
I got my GreenSaver at The Container Store but they are also available on Amazon and at Target all for the same price. The large 5qt is $19.99, it also comes in a 4.3 qt ($17.99) and 1.6 qt ($12.99). They are a bit pricey but if you are purchasing organic fruits and veggies it is worth it to keep them fresh longer!
Not exactly Pin-worthy but it is CLEAN! An actually fairly empty which also only lasted about a minute!
